lyrics
Give me time, I'm burned out
Give me space to figure out
All the things I think about now
I never meant to do you wrong
I'll never bring you any harm
Right now I'm just not strong
Wait a while, my burning heart
Will still be yours baby, when I start
To pull apart the bad in me
'Cause all of my thoughts get a bit lost out there
But it's only for you that i really care, my love
Feeling weak and feeling hit
People make me kinda sick
It hasn't always been like this
Ya know, it'll pass and I'll be fine
I'll get better and I'll get kind
Honey please just stay with me
'Cause all of my thoughts get a bit lost out there
It's just the weight of the wager hanging in the air
And I've been taking it slow
I've taken me time
But I'm so sick of feeling sick
Sick and tired all the time
I feel the pressure of living
And the weight of my years
I miss sleeping so much
What happened to my tears

It's been a really long time since I've been that impressed by songwriting so creative and smart, plus the courage in displaying such vulnerability, and touched by the sheer beauty of the music, all at the same time. (I'm usually not a fan of digital only music purchases, but just had to make an exception here, after having the pleasure of experiencing a live gig by the wonderful Lucy, and buying the followup album on CD there - also heavily recommended!) mawit

Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
