Mama, what’s wrong?
You’re acting like your world gone cracked
Tell me how, how am I supposed to act?
When all my life I’ve never known you like that
Mama, I know you get lonely sometimes
You feel a little low – you’re just a victim of the times
You gotta let go – rest your aching mind
‘Cause I know – Mama you’ll be fine
Mama, it’s true you give ore than you take
Next to you everyone seems so fake
And it makes you blue – you’re all along in this state
It’s nothing new – you’ve always been the one who waits
Mama, take your pills – is all that they say
Switch ‘em up if you don’t like ‘em that way
A little pick me up at the end of the day
A little fixer-up to keep the demons at bay
Everything comes and goes, moves fast and slow
We go up and down, get by somehow
From side to side, our minds they slide
Our souls alone, in our hearts confide

It's been a really long time since I've been that impressed by songwriting so creative and smart, plus the courage in displaying such vulnerability, and touched by the sheer beauty of the music, all at the same time. (I'm usually not a fan of digital only music purchases, but just had to make an exception here, after having the pleasure of experiencing a live gig by the wonderful Lucy, and buying the followup album on CD there - also heavily recommended!) mawit

Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
