I have caged you
You have caged me
But baby if you cage me
Don’t you know you’ve got to feed me
Make these feathers shine
Turn water into wine
And we’ll drink away the time
As we ignore the signs
Raised up soft in the midst of a hurricane
Sweep the pieces of a light that would never break
You have saved me
To love is to be free
I am tested endlessly
But I won’t save you
I am jealous and unkind and I think of you as mine
So I won’t save you
I have caged you betrayed you and caged you and caged you
Make these feathers shine
Turn water into wine
And we’ll drink away the time
As we ignore the signs
Raised up soft in the midst of a hurricane
Sweep the pieces of a light that would never break
Pull the covers let the darkness take your space
Love the quiet let the silence keep it safe
I would have done anything for you
Bring you a devil make it sing for you
But I’ll rap you up in rubber and set fire to you
‘Cause that’s the only thing that I know how to do
You have changed me
Re-arranged me
With all that you have changed
You set free the strange in me strange in me strange in me
Make these feathers shine
Turn water into wine
And we’ll drink away the time
As we ignore the signs
Raised up soft in the midst of a hurricane
Sweep the pieces of a light that would never break
Pull the covers let the darkness take your place
Love the quiet let the silence keep it safe
Keep it safe

It's been a really long time since I've been that impressed by songwriting so creative and smart, plus the courage in displaying such vulnerability, and touched by the sheer beauty of the music, all at the same time. (I'm usually not a fan of digital only music purchases, but just had to make an exception here, after having the pleasure of experiencing a live gig by the wonderful Lucy, and buying the followup album on CD there - also heavily recommended!) mawit

The Morrison-sounding vocals, the smooth grooves... If you're into this genre, just buy their discography in one shot - you won't be disappointed. Every album is gold. Rudolf Nisbeth

British folk musician Tom Nash built these delicate and moving songs around a broken harmonium, allowing its limitations to open up worlds. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 12, 2021

This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge.
I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well. Smekermann
